i never wanted to go head to head against a Soviet tank with one, but great for wall removing.

After having had a wee play with an SLR at Shefield, they are rather lighter / handier than I expected.
Quite fancy one now 8-)

Add the Wooden Furniture, and the working Parts (a La pre 95 de-ac), and they are a little bit heavier than a Garand

LOL - tho there may be a way of owning an old Spec SLR without the hassle - there are Aussie L2s and Canadian C2s out there (L2/C2s being the LMG version of the SLR:

GPMG, preferably on a aaad mount.
