Probably ex-Home Guard WW2.
I'm led to believe that all returned HG kit was stored/retained by their local TA & Cadets.
BD, webbing, even down to badges and the early "Home Guard" armbands!!



My dad was in the LI in 1974 and he remembers the anklets and they weren't leather, they were 37 ptn canvas ones with brass or gun metal fittings which were required to be boot polished black for use!

He remembers this as took a whole tin of polish to do which the Cpl's at his training depot had the monopoly over from the Naafi!
